WTF Usages For Condoms.
By Edtrader Sept. 6th, 2023
It seems like such a waste that you buy a condom and only use it for 15 minutes. Or a minute and a half, as some wives and girlfriends have to suffer with. But in reality, there's a lot of study and engineering in that rubber. So, there are still many other practical uses (only if you don't 'use' them first).

#9. Condom Bomb.
Achmed, the Condom Terrorist, is on the prowl. ISIS has a new weapon that is more dangerous than a STD. With videos and photos to prove it, they are designing floating bombs. Condoms with explosives that are floating due to helium. As they don't have ground-to-air missiles, so they had to grab what was second-best.
On the positive side (for them), the condoms disappear from visibility. The problem is that they float aimlessly. Relaying on the wind means you really can't aim for any Russian jet. One problem to begin with is that they are just floating aimlessly. So, it's not really proficient. So, it's not clearly known how effective the latex-to-air system will be. But just the attempt is enough to give ISIS an A+ for creativity.

#8. Rape victim condom.
Rapers have used condoms to cover up their awful deeds. But a condom has been used to prevent their awful deed. CNN first reported this new condom in 2010. A South African doctor, Sonnet Ehiers, developed this condom that has teeth on the inside. The woman inserts the latex condom in like a tampon. If the man inserts his wee-wee in the wrong woman, the teeth attach to his wee-wee.
The idea came to her when a rape victim she helped said that if only she had teeth down there. So after forty years, the Rape-Axe came into the world. With this attached, the man can't pee or anything, but it isn't supposed to draw blood. However, it could only be taken off by a doctor. Hopefully, the doctor will call the cops if this happens.

#7. Condom sling shot.
Joerg Sprave of the Slingshot Channel took on a cause started by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In their effort to increase safe sex by offering 100,000 bucks for the next-generation condom. As they said, the condom hasn't seen much advancement in hundreds of years. (Like it really needed anything new.)
Joerg answered with what he knew best: a condom slingshot. Citing it brings together men's favorite two things, sex and guns. You put the condom into the leather sack, cock the gun, and shoot the latex onto your hotdog. Although it does work, its practical usage comes into question. However, Joerg made a video to demonstrate his new 'weapon'. Giving him eternal internet fame.
#6. Largest condom mosaic.
Of all the things Guinness World Records has had to measure, a condom-built mosaic tops the cake. In November 2014, measuring at 200 square feet, the world record holder was in Lucknow, India. Students of IIM built the structure as part of the INDEX research that is called a fair.
#5. Condom cookbook.
Have you been to Amazon.com lately? If not, you missed the condom cookbook 'I Want To Make For You'. Author Kyosuke Kagami brings you 11 latex-filled recipes. So, if you are looking for condom meat stuffing or condom escargot, this is your cookbook. It even covers the ability to make a sushi roll using your Trojan. No word yet on whether Fire and Ice condoms are good for ice cream. But maybe in her new cookbook!

#4. The condom microphone.
For those in music or the theater, condoms can be used to keep microphones and signal packs from getting wet due to body sweat. Also, since sound can travel through water, and through a condom, you can place a condom over a microphone. Then stick it under water to collect the sounds needed. This is one of those industry secrets that goes unsaid.
After musicians and such started using condoms, music companies started to make a line of latex covers for microphone devices. They are so similar that companies such as The Tech Closet have a warning on their protectors. Say they are not for sexual use.
The point was drivin' home with reporter Shi Jinbin. He was reporting on a typhoon in Rongcheng, China. When the camera turned to him, there he was with a condom on his microphone.

#3. Gun control and survival.
For those hunters out there, you can place a rubber over your rifles barrels to keep them free of water. In Vietnam this was a common practice in fact. I had a neighbor once who was a Vietnam veteran. I always thought that was a joke that he always told me. But I came to find out it's quite true.
As soldiers had to often walk through swampy and wet areas. And the water would very easily get down the gun chambers. Russian soldiers have used this method as well. Even today its one of those passed through word-of-mouth tips. In duck hunting you also enter wet areas. And it's not unknown that some hunters end up in the water. So, a rubber can be placed over your rifle. The rubber will protect it and the bullet can still easily still go through the rubber.
Several videos including on YouTube show that a condom can burn for several minutes. Giving you time to build a bigger fire. Or they can be turned into a magnifying glass. So you could beam a sun ray to some burnable materials.

#2. Horror effects.
Before we had pyrotechnics and squibs to simulate gunshot wounds, the movies used fireworks and condoms. So simply take some bottle rockets, fake blood, and condoms, and you too can fake a western shootout. Pour the blood into the rubber and tie it closed. Attach the firecracker, minus the stick, and light it. As the firecracker would pop and the rubber would blow as well. Spilling out the blood all over your shirt.
You can also use condoms to hold blood in a body about to explode. Veins bursting out with blood are quite similar to how a condom bursts. Tom Savini is one of the biggest movie gore and monster makers to have used this technique. Having done Dawn Of The Dead, Creepshow, Day Of the Dead, Friday The 13th parts 1 and 4, and tons of other movies.
#1. Fashion.
Emma Kaywin from New York University worked an internship at an HIV hotline. Which happened to have a lot of free condoms to give out. Boxes of them had expired and were headed to the dump. She asked the hotline if she could have them for an art project. By the time she was a senior, she had made not one but two full dresses out of condoms. Adriana Bertini took her selection of clothes made from condoms to the UCLA Rowler Museum's Dress Up Against AIDS. Citing they give vibrant colors and texture. The greatest number of condoms she used were on someone's wedding dress.
