Villains That Weren't The Worse Thing In Their Movies.
By Edtrader April 25, 2021
There have been times when the main villain in movies wasn't the worst person. They don't cause the most problems, or the victims are a worse enemy to the other characters. Some of the good guys have more dastardly moments that go unnoticed than the bad guys.

#7. The Boss in Bruiser.
Villain: The main villain that is set up throughout the film is Milo Styles. The owner/operator/editor of this magazine called Bruiser. The hero is Henry Creedlow, who's a sympathetic character. One that wakes up one morning with nothing but a white face. In a Crow-like fashion, he takes revenge on those who did him wrong.
What they do: At a pitch meeting in the beginning, Henry Creedlow, who is a young writer, offers who should be the next female face of the magazine. Which Milo Styles not only says no but that Henry's taste is in his ass.
During the pitch meeting, Milo is very energetic and dismissive. With a hint of that classic 80s snot-nosed jerk. But he also throws a big poolside bar-b-que for the crew. Then a monster of a Halloween costume party. So he's an a*shole, but does some good things for his people.
Who's worse: Henry first takes out those who are truly the villains. Including his best friend, who shortchanges him on some investments. Cheating him out of tens of thousands. A maid that steels from Henry's house is on the list too.
At the barbeque, Milo goes to get a drink, and Henry's wife reaches into his pants and gives him a hand 'occupation'. Throughout the film, she totally deflates his manhood and is a total bit*h. Henry hangs her from the magazine's business building.
At the final party, Henry uses a stage laser to finally end Milo. So, what if he's sleeping with Henry's wife? She rubs her hand down his pants. He doesn't touch her. So, she's the one at fault for cheating. Even if Milo isn't the nicest person to his own wife. Who is a friend of Henry's.
As far as killing Henry's idea goes, it's Milo's money on the table if the magazine fails. So, he has every right to say what goes on or in Bruiser. He didn't really deserve to die for that.
#6. Sarah became the Terminator.
Villain: In Terminator 2, our villain is a T-1000 robot.
What they do: They are programmed to kill John Conner. It's been said that nothing that's programmed and has no choice can really be a villain.
Who's worse? Sarah Conner can control what she does. As a human, she has a heart and a brain. While the robots do not. Throughout the film, she is quite cold and distant from her own son. As he goes in for a hug, she just checks his body for wounds. Then bit*chs him out. The hero Terminator is more of a parent figure to John than Sarah.
Then she decides to kill Miles Dyson to prevent judgment day. She goes off to kill someone for something they haven't even done yet. Now she has become the Terminator she hates the most. She loses part of her humanity. And begins to think systematically. In a deleted scene, she even tries to destroy her son's protector. They cut open Arnold's head to enhance his learning computer. And Sarah takes his CPU and brings the hammer down on it. If it wasn't for John stopping her, she would have killed the hero.

#5. Buttheads.
Villain: Biff Tannen, the bully from the Back To The Future trilogy.
What they do: Biff starts out the trilogy as George Mcfly's co-worker. One that wrecks George's car and acts like its George's fault. Then totally bullies him into doing his work. As Marty goes back in time to 1955, he finds this has been going on since high school.
Who's worse: George Mcfly is a total coward that lets his family down. No man lets another man come into their house. Then grab and threaten them in front of his own kids. Then to add insult to injury... Biff calls Marty a butthead right in front of his dad, Once Marty goes back and makes his dad stand up for himself, it changes their family. Instead of a meek and sad existence, the family captures the mid-80's American dream. So, George was the one holding his family back.

#4. Doctors in.
Villain: Jason Vorhees is the hockey-masked stalker of Crystal Lake in the Friday The 13th. franchise.
What they do: Kill anyone that crosses his path.
Who's worse? Dr Crews in Part 7, brings Tina back to the place of her father's death. A summer cabin at Crystal Lake where, in a fit of rage, Tina causes the dock to collapse with her father on it. It's ten years later, as Dr. Crews disguises his real intentions as 'helping' her. But in reality, he is trying to push her telekinetic powers to their limits. He figures he has to have her in a state of pressure and frustration in order to get the best results. This guy is fu*king up her mind for life.
In the course of the film, Dr. Crews tells her that when she saw Jason, it was a delusion. Later, Jason leaves a spike in the side of the house. After Tina sees this and runs inside, Dr. Crews goes outside. Then he has Tina and her mother come out. Where now the spike is missing. Later on, the mother goes through his desk to find a tape on which he recorded his intentions. And the spike was also right there.
After threatening that she has to be recommitted to the hospital for shock treatments, Tina takes off. Crews and her mother then have to go out to find her. But Jason finds them first. In the ultimate moment of his character being the worst person in the movie, he grabs and holds her in front of him. Using her as a shield as Jason hits her with a sling blade in the back. Luckily, Cres gets a branch trimmer in the stomach.
In Part 8, Renny also has been mentally damaged for life. Her uncle, in an attempt to cure her of her fear of water as a child, pushed her over. Then tell her that she will drown or be killed by Jason. Leaving her with visions of Jason that haunt her. So now it's a double whammy as her lifelong fear and reality clash.
What's left of Renny's crew makes their way to Manhattan. Where they run into a local street gang. At knife point, they grab her, and off to the alleys they go. The gang leader starts to cook up some smack with a spoon. Explaining to her that they are going to rape her. And right as he is fixing to stick the needle in her, Jason actually comes in and saves the day, killing the gang leader.
So, Jason really doesn't even lay a scratch on Tina and Renny (although he tries).

#3. Ben, Night Of The Living Dead.
Villain: One of the most popular monster villains are zombies.
What they do: Eat the flesh of the living.
Who's worse? Ben, who comes in as the hero, does more harm than the living dead do. First, he slugs Barbara, the helpless girl. As the rest of the group arrives, Ben is wrong on every decision and gets the group killed. He boards the place up, which seems alright. But the noise draws in more and more zombies.
Harry Cooper and Ben argue over whether to fight the dead upstairs. Or Harry's thoughts of locking away in the basement. As there is only one door and they have it boarded up. Everyone except Harry is on Ben's side. So, he leads the group to board up the entire place. Gather supplies, then take the lone truck and get everyone out of there. Wrong choice; as they attempt to get gas, the truck blows up, and the young teen-age couple are inside the truck. Now the zombies have a bar-b-que!
Then Harry is proven right as the dead break in, and there's nowhere to go but down. Harry and his wife have been zombie-fied by their daughter, who was bitten earlier. Ben ends up as the last survivor of the night, locked away in the basement. When a crew of the living comes along, Ben comes out of the basement with no sleep and walks out sluggish. They accidentally shot him!

#2. Freddy, a travesty of justice?
Villain: Freddy Kruger is an alleged child molester and killer.
What they do: Haunts Tina and the children of Elm Street in their dreams. They die in their dreams; they die in life.
Who's worse: He was the victim of a vigilant mob. The parents of Elm Street decided to burn him alive. However, he was never found guilty in court. As the case was thrown out. The officers that searched his home didn't have a properly signed warrant. So, he was innocent until proven guilty. In the course of the Nightmare films, there is never any credible, in a court of law sense, evidence brought forth showing his guilt.
So, there was a total disregard for the American judicial system, which is the backbone of the USA. There was a chance that Freddy could have been convicted and sent to prison for life. And that would be that. But nope, they had to send him to hell. Inadvertently, they make Freddy more powerful and cause even more deaths among children.
Furthermore, Freddy's tool of choice, his magical center, and his token was his knifed glove. It was stolen from him, and Nancy's mom kept it all those years. Plus, her mom and dad both should have taken more of their daughter's word. The parents altogether just gave Freddy the power that he needed.

#1. Stan vs. the Nerds
Villain: Stan Gable is your typical athlete who rules the college. Which also makes him the villain that holds the nerds down.
What they do: There is a scene where the nerds have to plead their case to the college counsel. And Stan, as the head of it, is shown to be a villein by rejecting their pleas. In fact, in that scene, he's totally in the right. As the decision to reject them is backed by the college by-laws.
Who's worse: King of the Nerds, Lewis was far worse than Stan was. Betty Childs is the girlfriend of Stan, whom Lewis also laments for. First off, she is in a committed relationship. And Lewis is the one butting in. Stan stays true to his love. And throughout the movie, he doesn't so much as look at another girl. Also, he isn't the sexual deviant that Lewis is. Forgoing the breaking and entering, sexual misconduct, and unlawful videoing crimes of the nerds. Which Lewis watches Betty sleep for hours. (Felonies)! He's just one step away from stalking and murdering her.
During the charity event, Betty tells Stan that she wants to go 'do' it. Does Stan leave the charity behind and run off to hump? NO! He continues to raise money. Lewis steals Stan's mask and fools Betty. He just raped her, in essence. (Another Felonies)! Then he admits that all he thinks about is sex.
Lewis is so wanting of her throughout the film. However, he goes to bed with the first lady that comes along. I guess he wasn't as much in love with Betty as he thought. Stan really treated her right in the film. And she had no real reason to leave him.
Next, the nerds smoke pot. Which of course, you do not see Stan or the other BETAs doing. (Felonies All Around).
On a side note, the nerds raised the most money for charity by selling nude photos of Betty! (That gets you 5 - 10 in the slammer.)
Dudley Dawson, aka Booger, was also worse than Stan Gable. He plainly admits that he wants to be with underage girls. "Been out combing the high schools all day". And who's the only person who has drugs on hand? That would be Booger. So, he's a pedophile drug pusher!
