Wrestlers that Did Some Horrible Things To People.
By Edtrader Oct. 1st, 2022
Most wrestlers may get into a little ruckus from time to time. But there are some wrestlers who did some outright horrible sh*t.

8. Haku.
Tonga Fifita, aka Haku in the WWF (E) or Meng in the WCW, is described as a real tough guy. If wrestling was 100% a sport, Haku would be the real world wrestling champion. Well, he has really tough teeth as well. On March 3rd, 1989, in Baltimore, Haku and some friends went to a hotel bar for some food. As the night went on, some guys, including the bartender, asked him if they were with the 'fake' wrestling. Then he started to tell Haku that he wasn't all that tough.
The final insult comes as the bartender pushes Haku. Haku says, "I'll show ya" and grabs the guy. And he proceeded to bite on the guy's nose. I don't mean he left some teeth marks or drew blood. He bit this guy's nose off O-F-F.
He then sat back down and finished his meal. The police came and found Haku still at his table. Asked him if he was the one who bit the guy. He said yes; his nose is right over there on the floor.

#7. Didn't say they were deadly.
If you have a contagious illness, it's common human decency to alert others to this.
A.
Andre Davis, who wrestled as Andre Heart, was arrested in 2011 for second-degree felony assault for having sex while knowing he had HIV. And he didn't tell his sexual partners. But he also wrestled in bloody matches without telling anyone. The mother of his children found his HIV test. And she passed the word along to all of his girlfriends. He's now serving 32 years in prison.
B.
Larry Shreve, aka Abdullah the Butcher, is similar, as he didn't disclose that he had Hepatitis C. But he continued to wrestle, and his whole gimmick is to bleed and make his opponents bleed. In May of 2007, billed as Hannibal, aka The Blood Hunter, Devon Nicholson took on the legend, and it got bloody. Devon worked his way through the independent circuit and was headed to the top. He claims that he was to receive a WWE contract in 2009.
But the deal was killed after he tested positive for Hep C. Devon researched the disease and thought back to his match with Butcher. He filed a suit against him for millions. Because Abdullah cut himself with a blade. Then cut Devon right after. Justice Toscanao of Ottawa agreed, and Devon won. To celebrate, Devon picked up his attorney and pretended to power-bomb him!

#6. The worse crime of all.
A.
When one thinks of a wrestler who murdered another wrestler, Frank Goodish first comes to mind. Known as Brusier Brody, he was the Mick Foley of the 70s and 80s. Big beard and a mess of hair. His matches weren't technical, but he could brawl and do stuff that makes you go, OMG. On July 16th, 1988, Puerto Rican wrestler and referee Jose Gonzalez had some words with Bruiser. It's not known exactly what was said. But by most accounts, it was either over business or the matches.
It was at the Juan Lobriel Stadium in Puerto Rico. Bruiser had just wrestled and was called into the shower room. So, he goes into the shower area, and when he turns the corner, Jose stabs him in the stomach and cuts his throat. Bruiser fell down, bleeding, and Jose just walked away. Bruiser didn't die at the venue, but he died from blood loss, as it took a while before he was found. Then it took even longer to get him through the crowd and into the hospital. Even still, no doctor attended to him for some time.
Jose was the last one seen in the area, so he was arrested and charged with the killing. He admits in court that he killed Bruiser, but it was in self-defense. The autopsy showed no sign of a struggle with Bruiser. So, you'd think he would be convicted. Jose and the entire wrestling promotion swept it under the rug. The people of the area didn't testify. And the Americans that were there that night did not receive their court summonses until after the trial.

Louisiana in 1997 wrestler Douglas Whitton, on the other hand, went all 'Texas Chainsaw' as he butchered up his four housemates. Including his ex-girlfriend and a 9-year-old boy. Although he was not signed to a promotion, he was a recovering alcoholic. When Jamie Rauch let him stay at her apartment. When he was asked to leave, he came back and slaughtered everyone that lived there.

#5. Sex crimes.
A.
Grizzly Smith was a wrestler who had his heyday in the 50s and through the 70s. He was in a relationship with a woman who had a 12-year-old daughter. One night the mother passed out, so Grizzly saw her daughter as his love interest instead. He knocked her up, and he had to choose marriage or jail. They had a son and two other kids.
They split up, and the children lived with their mother. Eventually, the son went to live with his father. And his new stepmom sexually abused him. Things like giving him baths and rubbing on him until he was hard enough to pop. That son was Jake The Snake Roberts. Who went on to be abusive (mostly mentally) to his own children.
B.
In 2007, former WCW wrestler Harrison Norris Jr., aka Hardbody Harris, was sentenced to life in prison for kidnapping women and forcing them into prostitution. He was convicted of conspiracy, sex trafficking, and witness tampering. His game was telling women he would train them to be wrestlers. This guy had fliers and everything. The lady who finally escaped (her name was not released) said that she felt trapped inside the home.
C.
Art Barr is one of the few Americans who became a huge star in Mexico. Selling out events for AAA and CMLL wrestling promotions. He was even part of a new wave of wrestlers in the WCW during the early 1990s. However, a single horrible act followed him throughout his career. That was the rape of a 19-year-old girl in 1989. On July 16th, Art was hanging out with a fan named Angela up under a stairwell. They had sex, but it was sometime later before she filed rape charges. In a plea, he admitted that she did not consent to the sex. What's interesting about the case is that he was a children's character that was modeled after Beetlejuice.

#4. Hurting the crews.
Other than wrestlers, there is a large team of people that work behind the scenes. And these people are just there to do a job.
A.
On May 10th, 2000, Darrel Miller was working as part of the crew at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield, IL. Miller was carrying some heavy carpet as WCW wrestler Buff Bagwell and some others were blocking the doorway. Miller asked them to please move out of the way. Buff just cussed the guy out and punched him in the neck. On May 15th, Buff was officially charged with battery.
B.
In January 2001, Scott Steiner was involved in a WCW match at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Coliseum in Winston-Salem, N.C. As the match progressed, Scott laid out two other wrestlers. Scott just saw a plan clothes guy come into the ring, so he kicked the hell out of him. Little did he know he had just beat up an EMT. Randall Mankins knew he was going to treat fake injuries, but being kicked wasn't part of the plan. The guy sued but settled out of court.
#3. Stab happy.
New Jack is a wrestler who is just a balling whip your ass kind of guy. No moves, just gangster-ing your ass, as he said in an interview once. 2004 This crazy guy stabbed fellow wrestler William Jason Lane during a match. After getting hit kind of hard on the head, New Jack pulled out a blade and repeatedly stabbed the guy in the neck and the back.
The interview afterwards New Jack is quite heartless about his attempted murder. Saying he was charged with 14 stabbings. But it was just nine times. The other wrestler said if you train me, I'll drop the charges. Jack agreed, but then left town and never returned.

#2. Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Back in 2002 and 2004, the huge wrestling star was arrested for assaulting his wives. It was early morning on June 15th when Debra McMichael called the police. The responding officer noted that she looked bruised. Steve had already been long gone at this point. Once arrested, he was fined $1000, served a year's probation, completed 80 hours of community service, and attended a domestic violence counseling course.
In March of 2004, his third wife, Tess, told cops he grabbed her and threw her to the ground. When she landed, it injured her right hand.
Steve is now with his fourth wife.

#1. Bombed.
Ion Croitoru is a French Canadian who wrestled most noticeably as Johnny K-9 in the WWF during the 1980's. Being a full-fledged member of the Satan's Choice biker gang. He's been arrested for everything from assault to murder, but the craziest thing he ever did was blow up a police station.
On December 15th, 1996, Croitoru and members of his gang blew up a police station in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. He and some others were thrown out of a strip club and wanted to bomb it out of revenge. But they changed their minds and targeted a police station across the street. Unfortunately, an officer was badly harmed in the explosion. Ion was convicted, but he only got 33 months in prison.
