Some Of The Craziest Sh!t Ever Found In A Tree
Little Girls
July 1992, A nine-year-old Chinese girl was playing in Songjian, near Shanghai. When she was carried off by a whirlwind and deposited unhurt in a treetop n early two miles away. In May of 1986, another whirlwind lifted up 13 children in the oasis of Hami in Western China and deposited them unharmed in some sand dunes over 12 miles away.

Bones In The Roots
An archaeologist from Ireland discovered the skeletal remains of a young man dating back 1,000 years. He wasn't found in a grave or any other type of burial place.
A beech tree in Collooney, Sligo, had fallen after a storm. Inside of its roots, a full skeleton was discovered, and after study, it was found he had been murdered. It was pretty easy to see there were stab marks in his chest. As well as defensive marks on his hand. Pointing to the fact that he had been fighting his killer. His age was best guessed to be between 17 and 20.
The reason he was buried in this spot is unknown. But he was given a Christian burial as his head was facing the west. But the tree showed signs of being planted. And the fact that it was planted above the grave was by accident. But further investigation into historical records shows a church was in that area. And it is possible that this was a cemetery by that church. But there are no remains of the church to show the exact spot where it was located.

The Oldest Living Veteran
As of 2001, there are some living witnesses to the Civil War battle at Gettysburg in 1863. Trees are ultimately the only living witnesses to those days of blood loss. They too suffered from bullet wounds from that battle.
The battlefield is now the Gettysburg National Military Park. Park officials were cutting up an oak tree that had fallen and found an artifact. Two bullets dating 148 years old were found as a saw blade made contact. The bullets were found 13 feet up the tree, with 27 inches separating the two.

Hairline Ice
Several types of frozen water may be found in trees. Snowflakes and frost can form on any tree where there is water and below-temperatures. There is a weird ice formation called Hair Ice. This ice formation is unique as it only forms on the decaying wood of certain deciduous trees (particularly beech and oak). Also, it can only happen if the weather has been damping for some time and the temperature is just below freezing. Too cold, and it won't work.

These hair ice pieces are the microscopic passages that carry water and nutrients from the tree’s living core to its dying bark. Where there are holes forming in the rotten wood, these streams of ice will slowly grow out.
Stolen Wallet
Back in 2009, a New York Central Park tree care supervisor, Josh Galiley, made an interesting find. He was tasked with cutting down a hazardous tree near the Rumsey Children's Park. Near the bottom of the hollow tree, Josh discovered this blue leather wallet. The inner contents were still in great shape. Including the cards to identify the owner.
It was 1982, and Ruth Bendik was enjoying a regular New York day. Watching the NYC marathon. When her wallet was pickpocketed. Once the wallet was found, Ruth was notified by the police the following day.To her surprise, all that was missing was $20. Her credit cards and her student/work IDs from Columbia University and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center were in there the whole time.

There's gold in them thar trees!
Gold, as people know, is a metal. A very sought-after, expensive metal. One that takes mining and hard work to get. But in this instance, it could be picked off trees like apples. Gold particles are growing on the leaves and bark of trees. Eucalyptus and Acacia trees in Australia have root systems that dig deep into the earth—so deep, in fact, that they have struck gold. In their search for water, the tree's roots went down farther than usual. Water mixes with the gold minerals and goes up in the tree.
Finding gold that you can pluck by hand is great enough. But with this new finding, scientists are thinking about how biogeochemical absorption can lead to further gold strikes. Plus, there is much doubt in the scientific world, that gold can be found as deep as the roots have dug. It was thought that gold can only be found on the earth's surface level. So this opens up the door to how much gold we have in deep levels of the earth.

Boulders.
It was 1997 when a turkey hunter was in Yellowwood Forest, Indiana. When out of nowhere, he found a 400-pound boulder. And this rock was not on the ground. But up high in the branches of a tree. Eventually known as Gobbler's Rock, there is no idea how it got up there.
Being 80 feet up, it's not like a person could carry 400 pounds up the tree. There is no mountain hanging over that the boulder could have rolled down. After this, there were two more boulders found in the trees of the forest. All within a 100-yard area. Both are about 45 feet up in the branches.
When it comes to explaining, one might think they grew up with the tree. But the boulders are so heavy that they could have only been placed in them once the trunks were strong enough. There is no damage to the bark that shows a flood or weather got the rocks up there. There was some thought that winds or a blast in the mountains flung the rock. But these are over 400 pounds, and that would be earth-destroying strong winds.

Blood
Hailing from Yemen, there is a tree that, if you were to cut into its bark, would bleed. The official name is the Dracaena Cinnabari. Its shape is that of a mushroom or an umbrella. As a survival condition, the tree has evolved. In order to live in an area with low soil amounts, Which gives it a unique look as is. But the dark red resin gives it the nick-name of Dragon's Blood. If the tree is ever damaged, this blood-like substance will pour out like a cut into human skin. A select few of these bleeding trees exist on a mere 1,500 acres. Greeks, Romans, and Arabs used this 'blood' to help wound healing, to control heavy bleeding, diarrhea, and for ulcers in the mouth, throat, intestines, and stomach.

Gaining fame as it won a 1994 contest for the most unusual place to see in the Washington area. As well as featured in Ripley's Believe It Or Not. As to how the tree ate the bicycle, it is a bit of a local legend. The story goes that a young boy, Don Puz, left the bike near the young tree in the 1950s. And as the tree grew, it picked up the bike and grew with it. Don later grew up to be a Deputy Sheriff.
