Strikes serves to be their most well known and highest selling album. Along with containing their most famous songs. But I often skip several tracks when I listen to it. Tomcattin' I have a hard time ever skipping anything. Full speed ahead with no mediocre song here. Also it's by far the heaviest of their albums. The dual guitars of Medlocke and Hargrett are pushed to the limits on this and rocks to the edge of a mountain peak. Medlocke's voice is very well fitted to match the music. One of his all-time highlights is the song Reckless Abandoner. The rhythm section of Walker and Spires holds up like the foundation of a rock skyscaper. How could any hard rock fan not like a songs like Foxchase and Gimme Gimme Gimme. If the 1980's needed an album to jump start the decade for hard rock, then this album serves that purposes. So just remember when you play it, play it loud!
